Find one word to match each pair of definitions.

The Number Plate Game

Here's a game you can try any time. Take the last three letters from any car registration plate and try to find a word that contains all three letters in the same order. They do not have to be together in the word.
For example from the number-plate B321TBT the letters TBT could become tablet.

Can you find more than one word for each set of letters?

1. REVERSE
Find the opposite of each root word by adding the correct antonym prefix.

Does the spelling of the root word change when you add an antonym prefix? Write a rule for each one.

Test your rules by writing three examples for each.
E.g. Rule for adding 'un' = The spelling of the root word does not change.
Examples = unclean, untidy, unbelievable.
