The 2008 NELMA Awards will be held at The Central Hall on Wednesday 3 December 2008. Application and expressions of interest form is now available (word document).
New this year!
During this year's NELMA ceremony we will be voting on the best submissions for 2008 using Promethean's voting equipment. The winning entries will then be submitted to The National Schools Film & Animation Awards to be run in London in January 2009. For more information please visit

12 Digital Media Awards videos from 2006. The schools involved were Great Coates Primary, Humberston CE Primary, Laceby Acres Primary, Middlethorpe Primary, Nunsthorpe Community, Scartho Junior, Springfield Primary, Stallingborough Primary, St Mary's Primary, Strand Infants, Thrunscoe Junior and Weelsby Primary.
The themes for the 2007 awards were as follows:

Digital video
The digital video category consists of producing a short film, two - five minutes in length, which must be produced entirely by students. Schools are asked to enter films which are creatively and technically engaging. Entries must be finalised as a film, send on CD / DVD.
Digital animation
The digital animation category is for short animations, up to two minutes in length, which are entirely produced by students. Schools are asked to enter films which are creatively and technically engaging. Entries must be finalised as a ‘film’, send on CD / DVD.
Digital still images
The digital still images category gives pupils the chance to express their creativity through the eye of a digital camera. Schools are asked to enter inspiring digital still images created by budding photographers. Images should be sent on CD / DVD.
Digital music
The digital music category encourages young composers and performers to demonstrate their music talents using the latest technology by entering a piece of digital music up to three minutes long. Preferred format is MP3 on a CD / DVD.
