Today at lunchtime I went out and took some photos of the minus 25 today. Almost all students were inside out of the cold weather
although some had gone home for lunch.

This is of our grade 6 classroom from the outside. It faces north and has lots of windows
This is a close up of snow and frost on one of the trees not far outside of our classroom.

Today is only slightly warmer than yesterday so far. We had some snow in the late afternoon and early evening yesterday. The snow was very dry and light since the temperature was so cold. The prediction for today is a high
temperature of minus 1, that is a long ways off from where we are right now.

After school today two grade 5 and 6 girls volleyball teams are heading to
another school about 20-25 minutes away to play games. We really hope the weather does improve by then.

Here is one more pictures from yesterday lunch time. This photo is again looking at the outside of our classroom from a slightly different angle than the photo that was first sent.

As mentioned, the students do not have school tomorrow, Friday, so I will send an early weather report that you will hopefully have before your week ends. I hope to send a later report as well which you could look at on Monday.

We envy the green grass shown in the photo with the wind being measured.

Bye for now.
Gord Rae
