9.00am - 4.30pm




 

Course Aims:

To introduce a 6 (1 hour) session programme to be used in small group work.
To focus on managing feelings and in particular difficult feelings (anger).
To provide trainees with a structured programme to be able to use in the workplace.
To share experiences of running the programme and how to evaluate.

 

 
Course Details:

The course will introduce the programme which has been run in several primary schools. The tutor will share her experience of how the programme works.

Interactive exploration will be used which will enable the trainees the opportunity to experience some of the exercises and games from the programme.

Each trainee will receive a copy of the programme and a selection of worksheets which are needed. There will be opportunities to look at other resources and materials available, which may support the trainees with the programme in the workplace.

The course uses aspects of the SEAL materials and is based on circle time structure.

The course addresses various standards of the Healthy Schools Theme "Emotional Health and Well-being" (4.1, 4.3, 4.4, 4.8).
