Formative Assessment in History:

The following information is taken from a lesson at
Great Coates Primary School
involving a class of 34 year 5/6 pupils.

The video produced was intended to focus on the process of formative assessment and classroom practice using History as the vehicle for assessment.

The lesson was taken by the History Co-ordinator, Tracey Roberts. It was one of a series of lessons, over the term, following the study unit of Ancient Egypt.

The photographs were taken from a video recording of the lesson, produced by Peter Kipling, Senior Adviser, North East Lincolnshire School Improvement Team.
